The End of An Era

Back in November, I announced that I am going to retire from ParaReality Radio at the end of this year. This was not an easy decision for me to make. I've worked very hard on making this show the best that I could, but lately things have begun to slip away from me. As I have become increasing busier in both my professional and personal life, I have found it increasingly harder to devote the time to the show that I feel is necessary.
I think that you all can tell that. The quality of the programming has steadily declined over the months and that just won't do. I try to hold myself to high standards and I haven't been meeting them.
So it is with great sadness that I have decided to retire. I didn't come by this decision lightly. I really don't want to end things, but I know that its time. All the signs are there: the lack of time, the lack of quality programming and the lack of listenership.
This weighs heavy on my heart, but it is a decision that needed to be made. I have enjoyed the last 5 years and I have made some good friends thanks to this show. I want to thank those who have generously donated their time to help me: Kris for starting a fanclub/fansite and for contributing to the newsletter; James for starting this forum; and to Jasmine for contributing to the newsletter and to all the others that I have forgotten to mention.
Most of all, I would like to thank the fans of the show. Without your support, I wouldn't have continued this process to even make it for 5 years. You are the reason that I have kept going for as long as I have. Thank you all so very much for making ParaReality Radio that small success that it is and for staying with me for 5 years.
However, I'm not closing the book on ParaReality Radio. I'm keeping it open for new chapters to write in the future. I'm still fascinated with the paranormal and I will continue to study it. I'll also be exploring other avenues of creativity for a return in the future; possibly to radio, maybe internet TV and I'm even considering making a documentary movie and a few other things. Regardless of all that, I'm going to retire...for now.

There will always be idiots like that out there, unfortunately. I've never completely understood why people think like that myself. After all, don't we have samples of Moonrocks and dust and other stuff like that? How the hell do these people think we got them?

Sandscripts

As I'm sure you know ParaReality Radio will be coming to an end at the end of this year. I'm debating on whether or not to continue Sandscripts in the form of an ezine. I'd like to know your opinion. It would be very helpful to me if as many people as possible cast a vote. This is not just a simple "majority rules" thing for me. Its going to take more than that. If I only have 2 people vote, that won't be enough to keep the newsletter going even if they both vote to keep it. I want many votes. I think you can see where I'm going with this. I appreciate your help.

Thank You

Glass Exploded in My Hand

Can anybody explain this one?
I was carrying a glass jar (the decorative, cannister type of jar) across the room when it exploded in my hand. I mean, that thing just frikkin exploded! I received several small cuts from the shattered glass but nothing serious. The jar was empty. The air temp in the room was about 75. It was a sunny afternoon. Nothing unusual about the day, or the weather. What could cause this?
This happened a few days ago, & I'm still finding tiny bits of glass in various corners of the room.

RE: Shadow People

As alluded to in my questions during the show, I would favor the theory that these "evil" apparitions are in fact Demonic in origin or perhaps Demons themselves....

A. Because they tend to cause nausea, pain, sick feelings, etc. to anyone who is unlucky enough to witness them.
B. They haven't been known to do anything benevolent in any way, and always seem to be there to "scare" or influence someone negatively.
C. They behave as if in an intelligent manner; therefore I do not believe it is a stretch to judge them as evil/demonic in their intentions.
D. The American Heritage Dictionary defines the term, “demonic” as, Motivated by a spiritual force or genius; inspired.

My conclusion is they are utilizing some form of energy driven inter-dimensionality and most likely do so for the express purposes of advancing an evil agenda. If this isn’t the best case for a “demon” I don’t know what is.
MOONWALK BS!

Ok, So I was cruising an interesting forum on the net and I came across this ridiculous BS about how we never sent a man (Americans that is) to the moon! LOL! What a bunch of plain and unadulterated Conspiracy mumbo jumbo Bullshit!

This one poster actually had the nerve to say that the Russians beat us in space and we used the lunar landing as some PR stunt because we were angry that they were so much better than us and had won the space race:

http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=136020

I am at wits end with these jackasses and had to reply in kind. I cannot believe that anyone would be dumb enough to believe that:

A. we had the kind of technology in July of 1969 to fake something of this magnitude and vast endeavor
B. That somehow we were able to place a giant mirrored type mechanism on the moon which to this day reflects data back to earth without actually being there to install it.

And on and on.

So in conclusion here, you want reality? Check the following site out and you will see why the Conspiracy nuts are way way way way off on this one:

http://www.braeunig.us/space/hoax.htm

To degrade the outstanding achievement and sacrifice these men and now women have done for our country and that of the world to advance the science of space travel really gets me mad!

RE: Frater Nyarlathotep

I was fooling around on the internet and found a new book to read. It's called Zanoni: A Rosicrucian Tale by Edward Bullwer-Lytton. Frater Nyarlathotep was too modernist for my limited brain and social skills, but this, written in 1842, should be good.

""Zanoni" is a book about two immortals and their lives during immortality. One being is the cold, calm, heartless, void of all passion; more intellect than man. The other is his pupil, Zanoni, the eternal youth with absolute power and knowledge, and all the capacity to love and be loved and because of that love, despair. Due to his love for his wife and child, he is compelled to remove himself from his exalted position and take on the mortal position as a human. However his teacher, Mejnour, is left behind to live immortal, alone. "

Bulwer-Lytton claimed he met, in a bookstore, a member of the Rosy Cross, who gave him a cypher manuscript which enabled him to write the novel...

I get a lot of good book leads from your shows. Since you went to Waverly I've almost worked my way through Sir Walter Scott, who, incidentally, was an extremely nice man. Right now I'm reading "The Black Dwarf" by him. (Edward Bullwer-Lytton, in the other hand, was a jerk, but I read him anyway...)

Frater Nyarlathotep

Did you ever hear anymore about this guest? I have to go see if his book on bringing out your inner vampire is still for sale. Maybe I can get it cheap used now. I am still puzzled over the origin of his first name. The second is, of course, from Lovecraft, but I was reading about Alister Crowley and his top assistant was named Frater D.A.. (Crowley was all circus tent and no lions, if you'll pardon the expression, but I am committed to reading one of his books.) But on further reading, in formal magic there are many people called Frater, so it is either a title, or a name. If you can ever reveal to me the origin of "Frater" I will be most interested and pleased. (This guest didn't exactly spill many beans, but I now assume he was a member of the "A..A..", a secret magic organization. It's actually A, then a triangle of periods, and repeat. I think I'll start reading about these more esoteric cults.

I think the 2012 idea is great also. Please don't forget to do a show on it. We certainly seem to be gearing up to a major social collapse...

P.S. I remember the first time I heard the Sandman show too. He was describing how he went into Hooters for coffee and the buxom waitress convinced him to spend fifty dollars on t-shirts, ash trays, chicken dinners, ect...
